Tool for cutting circle masks?

What is a good tool to use for cleanly cutting circular masks from vinyl?

I've got to find a way to cut crisp masks for my 1/32 '109G-2's 5. It could be done freehand, but there just HAS to be a tool available for this sort of thing, no?

Of course, a tool for this will also come in real handy for all those 1/32nd and 1/24th Hinumarus in the 'to do' pile. #>biggrin.gif

Thanks,

D

Here's what you need #>smile.gif

Got this blade from exacto, it's got a thin shaft ending in a small angled blade. Stick this into one end of a cheap compass, and a scribing tip into the other....Hinomaru yourself into a froth #>smile.gif

Hope this helps

D,

I agree that Olfa's Circle Cutter is the best tool for cutting circular masks.

Placing a blade in a cheap compass, as Chris recommended, leads to many headaches, because the compass's flexibility doesn't ensure that the blade will return to exactly the same point as that at which you began cutting the circle. Even expensive draftsman's compasses suffer from this problem. Trust me; I know ...

Thanks for the advice Charles.

I ordered that OLFA cutter right after I submitted my last post (Tuesday morning), and I had the cutter in my hands Wednesday evening using thier standard shipping! Amazing service!

I hope to try it out soon.

Thanks again guys,

D
