Hi Guys, hope all is well with you and your modeling. I have been off the grid for a while, but still have been building Models for the recent Jaxcon 2018 Hobby Show our club had last weekend. It was a roaring success and I thouroghly enjoyed it. I built 4 Naval ships for the shows theme, yes that's right ships coming from me who is an Aircraft Modeler. Well I guess you gotta step out of the box sometimes. Anyway I actually ended up winning a bronze medal for them and I was pretty shock but happy to. I did them all in 1/350th scale and I am very pleased with how they turned out. I used an assortment of kits like Dragon Models, Italeri and Hobby Boss. I did the USS Gettysburg, USS Faragut, USS Samuel B Roberts and the USS Milwaukee LCS ships that Have been or still are stationed at Naval Station Mayport here in Jacksonville Florida. Hope you all enjoy the models and catch you all again when I start another project soon.

Also I just started up a new youtube channel and have uploaded my first video of the Jaxcon 2018 Hobby show I attend last week with our club so please click on the link and enjoy the video. It is about 50 minutes long but well worth the time.https://youtu.be/q6XxjNFHmRk

Modern frigates (?) or destroyers (?) of this type are not totally my cup of tea, but your presentation looks fantastic and has created some type of itch with my inner modeler!

I may need to scratch it!  That's what you call "inspiring."

They really look nice.

Well done!

Welcome to ship modelling! Really nice clean builds. Even in 1/350 scale they are a lot of work with the masking and photo etch etc. I use to build 1/96 scale for clients but now build 1/200 scale for myself only. The Trumpeter 1/200 scale ships are mostly nice and impressive once completed.

But where do you put them? 1/200 is huge.
