Just picked this up from Ron(Old Troll, good guy to deal with) on PT and just had to get at it..put everything else on hold.

What a marvelous kit..I do plan on embellishing it somewhat though..

Wings are prepped and painted,, floor, seat, instrument panel done(Airscale)...turning to the fus.

Cheers for now.Bill.

This is the one...found the perfect shade of blue paint for it as well.

Bill

Looking forward to the the P6-E build, as I've had the kit in my stash since it was first released.

Which paint is the 'perfect blue"

Keep 'em coming

I love that raptor claw, so much so that I used it as a personal logo on a printed circuit board design I did over 20 years ago, inside the product where no one could see it, but we knew it was there. This should be a beautiful build.

Kool,  you don't waste anytime with the yellow do you!

Looks good.

No time at all..done in two days.   :) ...lot of yellow paint shot over the last year or so...and this SW kit was calling loudly.another Yellow Wings for the case.

Well we found an old tin of Humbrol light blue that looks spot on..but it's a flat, have to polish and clear coat.  no biggie.

Cockpit done...reworking prop hub.thin walled brass tubing...

Going to button it up today(ya I'm up early) and do a bit of detailing on the fuselage.and scratching up a new windscreen from thin acetate.

You know sometimes a high quality resin kit(like Silver Wings)is more pleasure to build than some mainstream plastic.

Hi Bill:  That is going to be a winner.  Here is a very old slide from 1954 with 2 P6Es; the larger is a Berkley control line kit while the smaller version is "box scale" of unknown origin.

Thanks for the pic Barney.....Do remember some of those, especially the control line planes with diesel engines....
