  1. Hi Tigger I noticed that you've done the whole fuse as one. I've noticed that in other builds that they've reinforced the wing attachment area because it doesn't appear up to the task. Have you already done that?
  2. Tigger For the putty seam removal, why not try the puty & then smooth it down with nail polish remover method? It may take a few passes but you won't be sanding down the rivets.
  3. This is terrible! My condolences to his family & friends. I had good dealings with him & he was very cordial even when he was receiving a bit of heat about the way he does the barrels.
  4. Thanks Jay I'd love to see some pics of these as reference for my MIG when I start.
  5. Hi Jay Looking very good. I have a question about the exhaust nozzles: In the Fine Scale Modeler review of the kit, the reviewer ended up with the nozzles pointing to the side, did yours end up that way? He also said the main landing gear appears to slant in too much, any remarks on this?
  6. Hi Jay No problem. I'm keeping a close eye on this because I'm doing it when I finish my Stuka. Very nice.
  7. No, not the blue-green, the French Color is a gray with a bluish tint. I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. Although, if anyone's building the Trump hind & using the Eduard PE set, MM has a Falcon Turquoise in their 'figure colors?' range that with enough flat white matches the panels. Sorry Jay, didn't mean to do a hijack.
  8. Hi Jay Great build, I'm looking forward to how you handle the wheel bays. Not to rain on your parade, but didn't the front cockpit shot on page 1 show the canopy interior in gray? When I was working on my Hind, Model Master Light French Gray is a kind of blueish gray. That could be another alternative for the MIG gray color.
  9. Hi Jay Excellent build. Question for you about the plane - all of the other versions of this plane had the intake doors on top of the fuselage/wing for air intake when the FOD doors are closed. This kit doesn't have them. Were they not used on this version?
  10. Heck with that, I'll OOB it. Are there any alternate decals for it? BTW, I just got my shipping notice on the great HLJ deal. It should reach me in a week or two.
  11. Hi I've got the Trumpeter MIG 29M on the way & was wondering if it can be backdated to an 'A'? I'm not all that knowledgable about Russian jets & have heard the 'M' model is not in service. Is there a decent site I can research this? Thanks Bob
  12. Go to HLJ & get the Trumpeter MIG for about 12.00 US, not including shipping, I would think that's a mind changer.
  13. Hi Alan Great build. I have a question about the belts because I'm new at this level of detailing. If the belts have a loaded feed on each side, isn't there a place where the spent belt comes out? Do both drop straight down in front of the gun or is one side in (loaded) & the other side out (spent)? Thanks
  14. Oh man, I wish I knew that CE seat would work, it looks great! Instead I ordered 2 sets of the bendable seatbelts. Is that seat really accurate enough for the plane? The pan mimics what LSP Jay did to his seat.
