Tomcat14
Well I finally completed this beast of a kit and it was a real joy to build. I made this bird for an In-Flight mode scheme and I think it came out really awsome and I think this is one of my best kit's yet, really proud of myself. I used Model masters Navy aggressor grey for the main color and lightened the inside of the panels with light ghost grey for a post shade weathered affect. I then used some acrylic water based oils on it for the panel line wash as well as some patchy staining and weathering. I had to make my own decals for VF-101 Grim Reapers squadron which came out Ok other than the Decal film being a little to thick. Over all it was a fun kit to build and a Nastalgic one at that. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I have. Chris. K5IKL and Luca

ClumsyDude
Looks great Chris. I like the grey scheme with the tan nose, and black canopies just look badass. Good job. Jim

Tomcat14
Thanks Peter, I had a lot of fun building this kit, unfortunately I found out after the fact of building it that I put the wings on Upside down. I was crushed when I realized this, but Oh well mistakes can be made in Model Building a lot. I am Building it's 48th scale Brother as a Redo and It will be in-flight with the same markings as this one and I will try to put the wings on right this time. Hope to post some pics of it up pretty soon here. Chris.
