MikroMir is the Avis kit re-released, nicer than the Battle Axe.

See my review on LSP: http://www.largescaleplanes.com/reviews/review.php?rid=1899

I highly recommend the Aviattic and Pheon decal sets to make this a jaw dropper, as well as Aviattic's corrected/detailed resin engine cowl. Because I have too much time on my hands and love the plane, I also did reviews on the decal options, haven't done reviews on the resin yet though but can send you a pic or two if you want to see them

Do not, under ANY circumstances whatsoever, buy any Battleaxe kit.

Couldn't agree more - cannot emphasize that statement strongly enough unless there is literally no other option and you absolutely positively must have that plane in that scale.

Thank you everyone. The reason I asked is that when it first came out I bought a Battle Axe and it's been sitting in my stash. I will build it anyway, but it looks like with Aviattic and Pheon's decals, it will be MicroMir for me. I just didn't care for MicroMir's choices of markings. Thank you Pheon and Aviattic.

Indeed. A battle axe is what you will need to complete that kit. Had it along with two copies of the Avis kit, and one of the MicroMir kit. No comparison as stated above. the BA DVIII is a truly awful kit.

Spoilsports - why should I be the only one to suffer!

And... if I hadn't finished my BA D.VII, WNW would never have released theirs
