If any of you guys are thinking about the AOA Decals, get 'em! They are of the highest quality and the customer service is EXCELLENT! If we want to see more decals in our scale and this time frame we gotta support guys like Steve and AOA. Think about it, we buy kits with a cost of $100 or more to stash and be built at a later date, do the same with decals. Buy 'em!

Is anyone aware of any other decal options for A-6E (especially the TRAM birds)? Hoping for something colorful like a CAG or similar. Google hasn't helped me in my search...

Thanks!

Not really. To my knowledge this is what is available for 1/32 A-6 decals to date:

who makes decals for this bird? TIA.

By the way, not sure where that illustration came from but the caption is not correct for the scheme it says it is. The actual scheme VMA-AW-224 used in their 71-72 Coral Sea Vietnam cruise is covered in AOA sheet 32-009. The blue tail and tiger/brick scheme is later period.

@Darren: yep, we need more colourful options...

@Lothar: many thanks! I had a suspect...

I also love these schemes for the E-tram version:

Problem with both of those very late schemes though is that both of them had the new composite wings which isn't available in 1/32. One of the 1/48 Kinetic A-6E kits is the only one in any scale I think that provided the composite wing for the A-6E.
