  1. I just bought a 1/32 scale Kitty Hawk OS2U Kingfisher and I want to build it in a beached diorama. I need some advice on how to do the the water and beach ground work. I want to try resin water because it looks so good in the dios I have seen on line. I'm planning on adding a US Navy Willys Jeep and a couple of sailor figures with beaching gear trying to figure out how to get the damaged plane back to base. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Great work so far! I just finished mine awhile back I really like this kit. Keep the pictures coming. http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=35293
  3. I think I'm going to do another seaplane build I just finished the Revell 1/32 Arado and that reminded me of a model I built back in the 80s. I took the old Revell F4F-3 Wildcat and added a couple of scratch built pontoons to make it a Wildcatfish. I don't have it any more but if I can find another F4F-3 I'm going to try it again. I will post some progress pictures of this one. Here is another picture of the plane.
  4. This is looking fantastic I can't wait to see it finished. I have always wanted to tackle a vac but never had the chance you are inspiring me. I would like to find a vac of a 1/32 scale Grumman J2F Duck if there is one.
  5. Thanks for the kind words every one I have always wanted to do a seaplane diorama with a spinning prop and when I saw Revell's Arado I said that's the one. I wish some one would do a 1/32 Grumman Duck that's another one I would like to build.
  6. Thanks Matt, no the plane dose not come with the figures the seated pilot is from Master Details their Luftwaffe Fighter Pilot it came with four different heads. The standing figure is from Nemrod a US WWII Navy pilot that I've had for a while I just converted it to the Luftwaffe by using one of the extra German heads. Roger
  7. I just finished my Revell Arado Ar 196A-3 floatplane in 1/32 scale I decided to try a water dio with it. I put a small pager motor in it to spin the prop the water is painted aluminum foil. The base is an up side down picture frame with the battery compartment under the water.
  8. Looks fantastic tigger thanks for posting your pictures. I have got to build me one of those it would look great in a water dio. Roger
  9. I finally have a few more pictures of my Corsair.
  10. Thanks for the comments guys, I'm getting some more pics taken tomorrow I will post them ASAP. I did use aftermarket wheels and did a little work on the cowl flaps. I made the bomb rack out of sprue from a picture in Squadron's F4U Corsair in Action I liked the hand made look of it. I have a pilot figure for the Corsair and one of the Trumpeter tow tractors I'm planning to put them all on a base one of these days.
  11. This is my 1/32 scale F4U-1 Corsair from Trumpeter built pretty much out of the box except for a bomb rack built in the field.
