Seen this not so little puppy?

Yes, I've seen it since it was an even smaller puppy. I am a member of the forum Pickelhaube is also a member of and have watched the genesis of his project. He has made a large number of conversions and full vehicles in 1/18 scale. He's one of a small number of people trying to pick up where 21st Century left off.

Unfortunately Photobucket toasted this thread as well.

WOW!!   Looks like they might have even captured the "twist" too.   But where the hell would you PUT it?!??

I do not mean to be rude or insulting, but why do you ask such a question?

Those of us who have the space will use it for our larger models.

Those of us who do not have the space will build smaller models.

Isn't that obvious?

Please, what forum is that?

Thanks,

Relax Stephen. It was more of a rhetorical question. The fact is, most guys would/could not purchase this for that exact reason.

Small Scale Military Headquarters. http://www.warbird-photos.com/gpxd/

We started as a forum for collectors of prebuilt armor and planes from 21st Century, BBI, FoV/Unimax, etc. When most of those companies stopped producing, some members like pickelhaube started making stuff to keep the supply going. I just switched to building kits instead of prebuilts, although I didn't do a lot of 1/18 anyway.

Looks like they will not let me join them.

First they ask me: "What was this board formerly known as? (hint: it's in the header image):

This question is a means of preventing automated form submissions by spambots."
Over the years I have been in a number of forums, some of which closed down. I do not ever remember them anymore. So I cannot answer that question.
Second, they refuse to accept my current email address as being a valid email address! Really?, I have been using it for over a year and it works perfectly.
Oh well. such is life.

They do not acept my email address as being valid !!???

Well, it's been years since I joined and I have it set to auto log me in, so I wasn't aware of the entry hurdle. The site was formerly known as Prince - I mean Groundpounders, or GPXD for short. I think GPXD is the answer to the anti-bot lock. As for the email, I don't know what that is about. We have members globally so it should be open to any email servicer.

The initials GPXD did the trick. Thank you.

Now they will send my name around to other members and let them see if they want me in.

It looks like they want only the ex-members of Groundpounders to join up with them.

OK. It is their forum, after all.

Thanks again.

And I've just approved his membership registration here.

LOL!!  Like where to put a large, built kit has stopped us maniacs from purchasing one anyway.

I will admit though, the question is usually asked after it has been delivered.
