otis252
If any of you guys are thinking about the AOA Decals, get 'em! They are of the highest quality and the customer service is EXCELLENT! If we want to see more decals in our scale and this time frame we gotta support guys like Steve and AOA. Think about it, we buy kits with a cost of $100 or more to stash and be built at a later date, do the same with decals. Buy 'em! Chuck
phantom
I have already done the early A-6 from Zotz. I am looking for A-6E decals for VA-75. Mike
seiran01
Is anyone aware of any other decal options for A-6E (especially the TRAM birds)? Hoping for something colorful like a CAG or similar. Google hasn't helped me in my search... Thanks!

Hoping for something colorful like a CAG or similar. Google hasn't helped me in my search... Thanks! Not really. To my knowledge this is what is available for 1/32 A-6 decals to date: A-6A/A-6B/KA-6D: http://www.aoadecals.com/32001 http://www.aoadecals.com/32009 http://www.zotz-decals.com/decals/zotz-32061.shtml http://www.squadron.com/1-32-SuperScale-A-6A-Intruder-VA-115-Arabs-p/ms320265.htm http://www.squadron.com/1-32-SuperScale-A-6A-Intruder-VA-95-Green-Lizards-p/ms320264.htm A-6E TRAM: http://www.aoadecals.com/32003 http://www.zotz-decals.com/decals/zotz-32067.shtml A-6 stencils: http://www.aoadecals.com/32003 Luca

ziggyfoos
who makes decals for this bird? TIA. By the way, not sure where that illustration came from but the caption is not correct for the scheme it says it is. The actual scheme VMA-AW-224 used in their 71-72 Coral Sea Vietnam cruise is covered in AOA sheet 32-009. The blue tail and tiger/brick scheme is later period. ziggyfoos
Nope, not available yet. Unfortunately I'm not aware of any new 1/32 A-6 sheets since my earlier list I posted a few above back on 10 Sept 2015
Lothar
@ Luca: 159316 was built as a A-6E 154151 was build as a A-6A but carried the WK 10 markings only after being converted to -E standard So both aircraft are A-6E's. Lothar Luca
Marcel111
Would be nice to have the VA-65 A-6 in desert brown covered. Cheers, Marcel
Darren Howie
32nd A-6 decals and resin is a giant hole especially for such a great kit. AOA helped as did Zotz with great early schemes and some lates. But no Sunday Punchers is a big hole among many ithers from the late hi vis days. Pity its a great kit.. Luca
@Darren: yep, we need more colourful options... @Lothar: many thanks! I had a suspect... I also love these schemes for the E-tram version: Edited April 26, 2017 by Luca
ziggyfoos
I also love these schemes for the E-tram version: Problem with both of those very late schemes though is that both of them had the new composite wings which isn't available in 1/32. One of the 1/48 Kinetic A-6E kits is the only one in any scale I think that provided the composite wing for the A-6E. Luca
