Le Lapin Mal
I've just recently gotten back into creating aircraft profiles, more for fun and to get work off my mind. I know this site hosts quite a few really talented artists and historians and I would be really grateful if you all wouldn't mind giving a critique. It would really help me to keep getting better. http://bad-rabbit-design.deviantart.com/gallery/ My thanks in advance to all. dodgem37
I am no expert. Your graphics are superb. The imagery lacks volume, depth, and texture. I Googled 'Digital Aircraft Art' and found some folks for you to study and contact if you'd like. http://www.vintagewings.ca/VintageNews/Stories/tabid/116/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/483/A-Terrifying-Beauty-the-Art-of-Piotr-Forkasiewicz.aspx https://nortonsafe.search.ask.com/web?q=digital+aircraft+art&geo=en_US&prt=&ctype=&o=APN11910&chn=&ver=&tpr=2&ts=1442560095063 Digital Aircraft Art. Sincerely, Mark Thanks Mark, the art of 3D modelling and skinning (and financing ) is a little beyond me still. I can see it is the way forward, I just need to gather the requisite skills to do it, hence I'm stuck with "traditional" 2D digital illustration using Photoshop and Illustrator. (Is that even a thing? ) But as I am working on some NMF Mustangs at the moment, I'll see what I can do in terms of texture and depth at least. Thanks for your input! RBrown
Your profiles are commendable and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, especially with your interpretation of the makings. I compared two in particular with photographs and was very impressed. The brief history provided adds interest as does your explanation of your methodology in color selection. Thanks for the posting and keep up the good work!. Le Lapin Mal
