Gary, I had know idea you were facing this. I'm so sorry my friend. But it sounds like in the long run all will be good! I sure hope so.

Chuck

hey Chuck,

This is for the better.  I am tires of repeated surgeries the attempt to fix the ankle and foot, and the repeated infection, swelling and constant high level of pain.   Look  ing forward to running, biking, and swimming again.  I have learned to deal with the pain, it is the loss of my activity level that I am tired of and the unnecessary health scares the problems with the leg add to my life.    This will definitely be better, I am convinced of that.

Tony,

Thanks you for the thoughts, I am sure all will go well.   If it goes well then I will be back in a few days here and healing up,   if it goes really well I will be home and hurt no more,  either option is fine with me!

Take care all,

Gary

Thx David,

I just finished the mockup for the F-4C and it is being readied for paint.   I plan on getting the mock up work for both the Thud and the F-4B done before the surgery, so I am not dealing with fitting resin with its dust afterwards.    That way I can just build clean not increasing the risk of infection.  I am taking many pictures of all three, and I will be posting them as builds later on.

Thad for the kind wishes,

Gary

Good luck to you. As someone who also deals with chronic severe health issues I know how you feel. Being able to do something to make things better is great and I wish you all the best.

Update:

Thanks all for your support.   We have had some good news in that my leg will stay in place.  What I have to have done is knee replacement #3, followed by additional Anke work a few months later.    Neither one will put me down for very long, as the amputation would have.   Still trying to figure out the dates for the surgeries.   Should be no interruption of availability at all, just maybe a delay if I have to restock of a week or so......which happens normally.

Thx,

Gary

Hi Gary

That is wonderful news. Take your time and keep your focus on your health. That's the only thing that matters. Best wishes for a full recovery.
