Is this the pod, ALQ-71 ECM POD, used by the 497th and on the Pardos push mission?

I will check but I am quite convinced that it was.

When I built my Robin Olds´Phantom I learned that in time of Operation Bolo they used the F-105 type of pod. I remember two reasons provided, the pods were new and they got them from 105 units because they did not have theirs yet and the other was that they wanted to fool the defence that they were 105s. That also means there were differences between the pods used on F-105s and F-4s. I cannot remember whether there were external differences though.

I am sure there are guys with much better knowledge here.

I have funds reserved for this when it's ready, if by the first of the year would be excellent, but I won't argue if it's sooner

I also would be interested in the F-4C Wild Weasel set you mentioned on Tony's thread

Thanks

jack

A few teasers for the Phantom Junkies:

For Tamiya and Revell

For Tamiya.  This will come with the F-4G kit and be sold as separate for the F-4E and the F-15 builders:

And for the Revell F-4G Kit, a whole new correct nose and cockpit tub.  The tub will also be a separate item as it fits the Tamiya kit perfectly. It allows any of my cockpit sets to be used in either brand of F-4.

Can I ask what type of resin you are using? My examples seem to be somewhat powdery in texture.

I use several types of resins, depending on the part and other considerations.  I PM’d you on the 13th if you had a part problem and never heard back as you have a part with a bad mix, or it could be fine until I talk to you I can’t say.

Many Thanks, Gary
