Revell 1/28 Red Baron

Completely forgot about this group build but have two builds to add in.  First up, the Red Baron!

The backstory is one of our esteemed members of our local NovaIPMS club asked if I would build some WWI-related kits for some upcoming events the club is supporting (being close to DC we are pretty active with all of the different museums and groups).  I went to the LHS and found this Revell Fokker Tri-Plane and said, why not.

Just proving its an oldie...  :coolio:

Having had no prior experience with these kits I was shocked at the flash and very heavy pour stubs.  And the figures are just too funny (and far too gone for my lowly skills to try and resurrect!)

I had a thing with the paint.  Its molded in red, but I wanted to get paint on it.  But ended up with more of an orange-red, than red, so had to redo it.  And that is a LOT of paint!

And assembled and with the correct color finally on it  Rigging is with EZLine, my first use of it.

Up next is the Revell SPAD XIII.

Thanks!

Where to get EZ line? I can't get it. I live in the Netherlands. I looked but knowere to be found

Theo,  Amazon.com has it.  If you can't get it in the Netherlands, tell me what you want (they have colors and thickness options) and I'll order it for you and send it over.  Makes rigging so much easier.

Here is the link to the store to show you all the options.

Thanks Maru!!  I got the top wing attached tonight, along with finishing off the cockpit and adding the machine guns and top cowlings.  Still have to do some touch-up painting and get the center struts firmly in place but getting there.

Cheers,  Chris
