gear bays done and initial paint work down...primer then gunmetallic.

Need to come back and start the lighter metal shades then get some base weathering and detail painting done.

 

Been pretty busy this week, pics to come by friday

Friday update:

 

After an enamel wash the hazing on the spinner went away. An ink wash on the props brought them to life as well

finished the gear bays and shot them in german grey primer

then shot them in Gun Metallic

after that a light spray of Steel on the edges and between the ribs

a matte coat sealed the deal and will allow me to start the base weathering

Shawn - this is stunning!

 

I have very happy memories of this kit - it was my first LSP - bought for me by my grandmother when I was about 12 - so your build is making me smile.  :)

 

Needless to say my build of the period was light years away from this one!

 

Show's just what can be done with an old canvass...
