From Elmendorf AFB in Alaska a C 17 and from Australia two F/A 18 Hornets Below are just few phots from the day Our unsung heroes Lockeed P 3K Orion (Updated from P 3B using P 3C Systems, K is for Kiwi) In 5 Squadron Hangar (5 Sqn is our premier maritime Recon/ASW sqn) A P 3 on jack, good shot of chin mounted sensor Same aircraft appearing to drop either a Mk 46/50 torpedo RNZN Kaman Sea Sprite (based at Whenuapai) Sea Sprite Business transaction suite Bell 47G Sioux Helecopter routinely does circuits at air shows Replacement will be NH 90 Aussie Bird of prey, F/A 18 Hornet Note A 21 on rear fuslage, that is the RAAF designation for the Hornet C 130H of 40 Squadron Some flying scenes modern and past NA Harvard Trainer used up into mid 70's for pilot/navigation training also part of "Red Checkers" Air Force display team at that time Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
