Tony T
Bought a Hasegawa Ki-43-II Hayabusa which has a missing tailwheel. Is there a firm out there that makes 1/32 cast metal or resin tailwheel "assemblies"? Generic would do. Regards Tony
Bill_S
It's not a separate part; it's molded onto one of the fuselage halves...
Tony T
I know Bill. Mine's missing the lower half of the tailwheel. Is there a firm that makes metal or resin tailwheel assemblies. Generic and slightly oversize bothers me not. Cheers Tony
thierry laurent
It looks like SAC released one set with the tail wheel: SAC 32011A Ki-43: https://www.veltd.net/products/ki-43-main-gear-for-1-32nd-scale-hasegawa-model-sac-32011a However, take care as the set 32011 has only the two main LG legs. Note that to me this looks to be a so basic wheel than any similar diameter wheel with a punched plastic disk to reproduce the rim would do the trick. Tony T
Thanks Thierry. I won't touch SAC stuff because of the pi**-poor alloy but think I can cobble something together using an engine trolley castor wheel or similar. I got a Manchoukuo boxing for £26 so am willing to lavish some extras on it. Tony
Zero77
It should not be too difficult to scratchbuild it with bits of plastic and a good file, if you can find any other tail wheel from another aircraft that look more or less the same.
