Shaka HI
Some seam correction is need, I think.... Shawn M
Shawn M
Please tell me what you see Shaka before its too late! I wanted to get some of those Brengun lamp sets, but couldnt wait for them to arrive. I will use them next time and save the headache lol. I did blow one side of a pipe out on the exhaust..BUT...this is why I keep large bits of sprue flash around. Easy to shape, thin and takes liquid glue like a champ! Got the exhaust primed last night, so just imagine it in black now lol CANicoll
Shawn M
I think i see what you see Shaka along the top centerline. The seams on this kit keep popping, i think due to the massive amount of sanding I've had to do on it. Its not a gap so Im just gonna move on at this point. Alain Gadbois
Shawn, If its the seem just in front of the windscreen, a few coats of paint with a fine brush can fill this in. Shawn M
Shawn M
thanks Alain, sounds like an easy fix....I like those! Shaka HI
Shaka HI
TBH honest, Shawn, I personally would let it got if it was my build...but you know what? After it's finished, my own eyes would focus exactly there (in all my builds, so far)! I think it's worth fixing..besides, you're no where as lazy as I am! Shawn M
spent time staring at it last night and will just let it ride, the pics make it FAR more obvious then with naked eyes I managed to get a lot done last night and will post pics after tonights bench binge windscreen joint filled and painted area under rear glass painted and washed exhaust painted and 80% weathered Pilot armor glass installed with brace should belts installed on seat wing tip lights masked antennae and mount and armor done, painted and installed (may need to revisit as the joint is rubbish) - what a holy PITA, had to use the canopy as a jig to get it in the right spot, but the canopy isn't glued on yet....8 hands/arms would have helped- tonight: revisit antenna base/joint glue on rear canopy section finish exhaust temp glue gear doors on this will all need to set up and dry before I can get on with the priming and painting! Shawn M
ok pics exhaust started, base coat of black primer, steel mixed with mahogany pilot armor glass installed, turtle deck painted and ID light added adding the antenna mast and armor is like building a ship in a black bottle, no visibility can only hope for the best ready to add the canopy.... and exhaust, washes and further mahogany coats and done with the canopy drying I can get back to adding the gear doors tonight and start priming the beast R Palimaka, Big Texan, BradG and 3 others
R Palimaka
Oh man! What a beauty so far. It's simply unrecognizable as the Revell kit, you've put in so much work and it's paying off. Can't wait to see her in her new clothes. Richard Shawn M and Big Texan

Shawn M
Thanks guys! The more i complete on this the more "errors" I find in the kit. That said, if it looks like a tiffy and squats like a tiffy...must be a tiffy R Palimaka
R Palimaka
Lol!! "Squats like a Tiffy"...I love it. The Typhoon is a beautiful beast...even on the ground she looks like a powerful animal waiting to pounce.
