FunkyZeit
Hey guys! I've searched google far and wide and somehow I cannot pin down where to get a fuel tank set for the spitfire as seen here: http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=38391 I'm leaning towards scratch build but I'm not entirely sure yet.. any ideas? Elger
I think it might be scratch built. YouTuber Plasmo did the same in 1/48 - the segment starts at around 8:55 in this video, and then again just after 10:37: Edited August 18, 2017 by Elger FunkyZeit

TonyT
Ohh well thats easy then, I might even have the drawings for it somewhere... the supermarine ones lol In the mean time, here are some I prepared earlier, bear in mind its a MK19 so the top fuel tank is split with an oil tank and a fuel tank under both too, red crud on lower tank is self sealing coating over a metal tank. TonyT
Don't forget the MK19 was pressurised hence the cockpit front was is solid in the tank bay Jeff

TonyT
blurb here http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?132567-Supermarine-Mk-III-Angled-firewall-and-enlarged-internal-fuel-tanks There are some excellent pictures of a cutaway 1/24 spit with the straight firewall as in the melin powered version and the single tank plus open rear to the insrument panel, unfortunately photofuket has struck http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/2/t/137374.aspx http://www.spitfireperformance.com/spitfire9-fuelsystem-lr.jpg Mine are really because a Griffon powered version are simply to show you how the tanks are constructed, and how simple they are.
