Revell P-51D release

I'll wait for it to hit and cool down a while, thanks.

Just ordered an M1 Garand that I've been wanting for 35 years, so I'm pretty sure I can muster the patience!

I popped into a Hobbytown USA this weekend while traveling (not usually my favorite store, but I have few choices) and was surprised to find their prices on the Revell Spit MKIXc and the FW-190F quite reasonable at around 30 USD. Didn't buy either of them, but had I found the 190A nightfighter or the new P-51D, I may have caved....

hannants has them and will post to the US

Yes they do, at US$62.87 after shipping - and that's their "Export" price without VAT! I think that's the highest price I've seen yet for that supposedly "cheap kit".

Tower lists them for $26.95 US, plus their standard shipping of $9.99. Just have to wait until they get them in "late December".

Owning the Revell kit and 3 of the Tamiya ones, I doubt the Revell kit will be a struggle, but can see why folk would want to own both, the Tamiya one for opening up, the Revell one for a quicker easier closed up but no less satisfying build, but no vices it looks like, can see many of these getting built in 2018 and beyond, lots of them, hundreds of them, thousands of them, all over the world, LOL.
