Zank_Frappa
As the title says, I'm looking to print my own decals for a build I'm working on, among other things. I've seen blank decal paper at my local hobby store, is that stuff any good? I don't want to bother with outsourcing to a more professional company to print the image for me, because the model is really just something goofy to clear my head so I can get back to bigger and better things. (If you're wondering, it's a model of a 1/144 Boeing 727 painted up like the plane on the Beastie Boys album cover "Licensed to Ill')
red Dog
i do that quite often. No problem as long as you don't need to print white Use the relevant blank paper according to your printer being inkjet or laser Once printed directly coat them with a coat of gloss. the thicker your coat is, the thicker your decal will be Then cut as close as possible to the graphics and apply decals as usual. Do these custom decals respond well do setting solutions and the like? I'd assume so, but better safe than sorry.
