Just joining forum, so hello to all of you. I too think this would be a great set of decals and wanted to let Jerry know that my friends brother was plane captain for Dick Bellinger on the Oriskany, so would love to see his markings included as well.

Is this the Dan O'Hara? Either way, welcome aboard, Dan, it's a great site.

Kevin

I was going to procrastinate tonight, but decided to wait.

My sheet arrived today and in typical Zotz fashion they are beautifully done and reproduced very crisply.  My only complaint or reservation is that Dick Bellinger didn't make the cut this time.  I am having custom squadron decals done for my 1/32 RF-8G so think I will look at adding the necessary extra decals for the Commanders plane - I need to check my F-8 decals but II believe I have a very nice set of decals for his plane in 1/48 to use as a starting point - I have no doubt everyone will be very pleased with Eli's latest project.

My decals arrived! Beautiful Ely, thanks. Interesting my decals include Dick Bellinger's Mig Killer. You did get two sheets of decals? AH-210 149159 is the aircraft? If so it's on the sheets.

My error - did a quick scan looking for his name on the canopy rail so didn't wasn't looking at aircraft number - Have seen several pictures that have his name of the plane but don't know if that was the same bird - still beautiful decals and I'm so glad I got them.

Just checked my reference photos and 210 did have his name on the canopy rail - LIMPY DICK.  Don't have date on photo but it shows a very happy looking Bellinger flying his hands to some equally excited deck crew - looks like it was taken after the shoot down but don't know for sure.

Actually, I think AH-210 was the F-8E that Dick Bellanger was flying when he shot down the Mig-21. However, I don't think it was his assigned aircraft-- not at all unusual. Pilots flew whatever aircraft on missions that were ready and as assigned-- not necessarily their "own" aircraft.
