I have a kit that I have been putzing with since- 1991. Every once in a while I get it out and get a few hours on it. Maybe 3 days work then It goes back on the shelf and i get back to "current" projects. I'm not in hurry to finish the kit because I just like working on it. Over the years I have learned I like working on models than I do starting at them esp the 1/32 because they take so much room. What's your oldest running project???

I have an unfinished build of Revell's 1/96 U.S.S. Constitution, which, if I remember correctly, I started in 1982.

My longest was probably my Hellcat, which I worked on for a couple years, then shelved for around 10 years, and finally finished a couple years ago, so maybe 12-15 years total.

In progress: 1/32 Trumpy P-38L (very slowly)

On deck: Not certain.

Completed in 2015: Hasegawa F6F-3 Hellcat, Hase Me-163 Jagerfaust , 1/16 Fokker DVII Scratchbuilt Wooden Skeleton

Mine was a 1/96 scale USS Missouri for a client. Roughly 8 years to complete due to custom made parts and mold making. One day I'd like to tackle a 1/200 USS Enterprise if I could ever get an Airwing for it.

I have a Revell Mirage that I converted into a Kfir C2 a few years back (using the Tac Scale Dynamics set, if I recall correctly), that I've always intended to finish, probably started about early 2000 or so. It seems highly doubtful that I ever actually will finish it, but I just can't bring myself to throw it away.

My Revell Constitution (my second one,... never finished the first, and it was destroyed years ago), is currently in the back seat of my old car, but will be brought in soon, as the car itself, will soon be going to the boneyard.

Mine's not even started :) ...

Longest surviving is my scratchbuilt Aichi Hansa (a licence-built, Hispano-engined HB W-29), started here on LSP in 2008, BEFORE WnW even existed, before their W-29 was released and then went OOP. It was stalled when my cat (deceased since :( ) decided to hve it make its first flight ...

It is still looking at me on my shelf of doom ;)

Wait! Noooo tossing. That pioneering kit with a perfect conversion set (a few had missing parts) is worth a lot of money. More if you have the first bronze landing gear set. I am cypher'n right now that you could get over $900.00 on eBay for it plus postage.

I have a Monogram CF-101 that's just sort of petered out. It's painted, decaled, cleared, the whole bit, just stalled out. It's been at least 7 years.
HB F-84G, I work on for a few hours once a month or so, it's been onging since before the last Korean War GB.
My Felix was 2 years, no big deal there.

You guys have me beat so bad.

Well, all of the bits are already attached, 'pit and afterburner painted too, so probably not worth much at all, would be my guess. I'll maybe grab a few photos, as it's sitting right here.
