Mark P
The difficulty with Liberator artwork, as stunning as many examples are, is to try and match it up with the rest of the aircraft. Obviously, the photographer focused on the artwork but then the rest of the aircraft overlooked leaving lots of unanswered questions. This a problem too I find with the dh Mosquito (very frustrating). Mark Proulx
Bstarr3
While there are some nice decal sets for B-24, there are dozens more, like those above, that I've never seen and would have to be done custom
Mark P
And then you need to marry those up to the kit configuration.... Hence...Consolidated Mess! Mark Proulx
Radders
Me? I'll see it when I believe it. Hannants now have them on their future releases, so I think they are coming..... https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/HB83211 https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/HB83212
Bill Cross
It we get some Zotz cuties, I'm sure the number of kits sold will jump. And who has the film of a Liberator machine-gunning a U-boat on the surface in what is a blizzard of shells?

Those guys suffered on those long patrols, and fought it out with submarines in the middle of nowhere.

ChuckD
I consider myself reasonably well versed in the Liberator but this tailgun config is strange to me. Can someone she'd a little light on this setup? It was in the movie Unbroken and it bothered me there too. Bill Cross
Vandy 1 VX 4
represents a early D models tail to my understanding. The B-24 in unbroken I think game from the Collins Foundation but could definitely be wrong.
Martinnfb
That is C-87 transportation version of B-24 , to increase the moral of the passengers they had 50.caliber mounted in the tail behind the door.
Cees Broere
The tailposition on the CAF Diamond Lil has a similar set up. A while ago it was converted back to it's original lay out. Cees

Juggernut
Ok, so tell me about this "high hat" dorsal turret vs the standard dorsal turret...When did it come into existence and what aircraft was it installed on?
