Spitfire LF.IXe - Royal Norwegian Air Force

My record for completing group builds is absolutely abysmal, not having finished a single one on time, so this may well follow that pattern.  However, Edgar did help me with a couple of Spitfire builds - particularly the details of the 1:48 HF.VII made (and modified) from the Hasegawa Mk. IX.

There was a build-article in Model Aircraft Monthly before they tried to go full size reference.  Anyway, I owe him thanks, and what better way to thank him retrospectively than to join a group build in his honour.

I have collected parts and accessories for this project, and thanks to a friend I will no longer have any excuses to put it off; a post-war Norwegian Spitfire LF.IXe.  The e-wing parts are sprues from the Mk. XVI kit, and there's various Barracuda Studios parts in there too together with some of Radu Brinzan's products and HGW.

So, let's see if I can finish this thing...

Hi Jens,

It's always enjoyable watching other WIP threads. I find it fascinating that there are nearly as many ways to approach a subject as there are modellers. I'll often pick up little tricks even if I've seen similar many times before.

If you decide to add images along the way I know I'd get a kick out of seeing your progress.

Cheers.
