Guest Peterpools
Mark I'm following jacks lead and not going to knock myself out with the rivets, as I'm only planning on replacing the ones I've lost sanding. Peter

marauderdriver
Hey don't let me influence you guys I think the heavy rivets around the tail should be weathered as they are larger and not flush as the skin rivets are I'll shut up now Jack
Guest Peterpools
Hi Mark Just checking on how you made out with the main gear wells. I'm just about at the same place you are now, having removed the kit wheel wells, spent a lot of time sanding and then more sanding but it's smooth as glass now on the inside. Test fitting shows the outer gear box to be way to thick and will need to be sanded down a lot.. Have you taken a look at the problem yet? I'll be having more fun sanding and filing in the morning. mark31
wings gleud togheter. When dry fitting the front feuselage to the wings i had this. The wheelbays from aires are against the side of the feuselage. So i have marked on the insideof the feuselage where the are touching. Removed some plastic. And now the fit. Guest Peterpools
Mark Thanks for the photos and I have a good idea now where and what to sand before thinning down the Aires part. Thanks Peter
Guest Peterpools
Hi Mark Just went back and removed the landing gear square plug on the upper wing and also one injector pin mark as well. Fit is so much better and with a bit of tweaking, I should be good to go. Will be devoting my modeling time today to finishing up the forward portion of the fuselage and all the sub assemblies. I finally have all the resin parts dry fitted - IP, cowling and nose gear well and with a bit of tweaking, all the parts now fit without any squeezing or pressure. Thanks for the help Peter

Guest Peterpools
Hi Mark Fantastic progress on the Sabre ... I'm slow and seams getting a bit slower compared to your build. Sure hope to be able to post an update later today. Keep 'em coming Peter
