That's it !

And i dont even like being photographed. I am usually the one who takes the pictures rather than the one on the pictures (i struggled to find pictures of me, and i was searching in files of the last 10 years !).

I noticed 3 tendencies :

-We are mostly middle-age white guys. ........ Just like most hobbies it seems. Funny that!

-Our wifes are beautiful (more than we are ourselves anyway ! :evil_laugh:......I can't argue with that. I don't know what she sees in me!!  :hmmm:

-Swedish members really look like vikings. .....and should also be in Death Metal bands. Cool looking bunch of Dudes!

Best regards;

Steve

Shaka, I've had that a couple times unless they see my last name. My boys are half Chinese, a quarter Scottish, a quarter Italian. We were going to go with my wife's last name for our youngest but then we figured he'd complain when he was older that he got the harder name to spell :)

Well, since you asked for it, here is me (a part 5 '3 and 20+ st. :( ) and my wife Patricia earlier this year in a Sicilian restaurant ...

... and when I am modelling, with the Optivisor riveted on my forefront. Notice the lovely and trendy mustache the light though the lenses is drawing on my (beautiful - of course ) face :rofl:

OK, I wanted a photo of me next to a cool plane but all I could find was this taken at Thunder Over Michigan a number of years ago

Unfortunately with glasses and hat it could almost be anyone. So here is a selfie taken with my laptop camera a few weeks ago with my outdoor buddy Sarah, the beard and stash were just an experiment and are gone now as I found it was just as much work to keep trimmed and it was to shave.

As for age the term middle age has always been a mystery to me, one would need to know how long they were going to live in order to determine, so I have considered myself middle aged ever since I turned 36 and I'm only a few weeks away from turning 69. Yeah I know I probably won't live to 138 but I can dream, besides it will take me at least that long to build all the kits in my stash :rolleyes:

I think members just appreciate the opportunity to put faces to names they know so well, and it brings us all that bit closer as a community. We all know that most of us would rather not publish our ugly mugs for everyone to laugh at, and I think there's some additional respect for those who have the courage to conquer those concerns.

Yep, I seldom put my face out there, but perhaps I will this time.

So, I tell my wife Cathy..." all the guys I talk to are old guys"................and her response was......" and you are????"...... I said ....." fitting in with them">................so as the demographic states on this site, I am a white guy, I am an old guy, I have facial hair, ............but I'm tubby............. so does that make me an anomaly?

just sayin

While I expected it to some extent....I am still a bit surprised just how homogeneous our little subculture is.  We hail from all over the world, but still are overwhelmingly middle aged white males.  I too will try to dig up a picture....but trust me when I say I fit right into the mold.

If I had the foresight 10 years ago to make my sign-in a non-gender-specific one, I would have posted a photo of a swarthy woman just to mix things up a bit.
