Welcome to the Wings of the Great War Group Build!

The Group Build will run from 1 February 2013 until 30 November 2013.

Any LSP-class kit (1/35+) of any aircraft that flew in combat during World War One, or had a military training role, is eligible for entry. The kit must be less than 25% finished if already started.

Your moderators for this GB will be Brian and Lou, with assistance from the LSP staff.

Have fun!

Been ages since I build something from the great war.

The only 1/32 kit I have in my stash is the Encore Fokker F1 "Werner Voss" - so I guess that will be it.

Built a 1/72 Revell version as a young teen - so it will be a new experience.

Look forward to this.

Its a great little kit. Not a perfect one like WnWs are, but nice resin, good shape, and not a bad kit over-all. Minimal rigging too, so I think it would be a fine choice. I have the same with some Montex masks I may enter.................

Looking forward to your entry!

Hi,

As a newbie to the GB, I'd like to join by building the WNW Fokker D.VII(OAW). Is there anything I need to do to join (post pictures, etc.)? Any assistance is greatly appreciated, and I'm hoping the GB will get me out of my modelling slump.

Not really, other than the basics of the GB which are any kit, any manuf, any country, any AM, as long as it is 1/35 or larger, flew combat in WWI and/or flew combat training.

Other than that, normally WIPs do include pics (We do love our pictures on LSP!) so having a hosting site like PhotoBucket or Picsa is going to be necessary.

Most like the two previous offer free versions to host pics, and PB offers some good deals on membership that include unlimited views and no limits on sizes of pics, ect, ect.

I'm going to be in with the WNW Fokker D.VII (Alb.) kit, with some Taurus models AM. I've been waiting for this kit since WNW started, so I can't wait to start it up. I'm going to be busy in the next couple of weeks, but I can possibly get some progress going on this one soon.

So c'mon guys, who's first? Nobody has started a thread yet!

Now that's the thing that really surprises me.

For weeks, people complained. 'Uh, its still a long way till Feb. 1st, I barely can resist starting my wonderful WNW ___________', and now, folks hesitate deflorating the subforum...
