Flying Leathernecks Decals New Sheets coming!

Gentlemen,

 

  I have finalized the next several releases in 32nd scale under the Flying Leathernecks Decal line. If all goes as planned, the first one (FL32003) will go to print toward the middle of this month and the rest will follow in approximately 4 to 6 week intervals afterward.

 

They are as follows:

 

FL32003 'Hornets Swarm' F/A-18A/C in combat Part I. (RELEASED)

- F/A-18A VMFA-142 Operation Iraqi Freedom

- F/A-18A VMFA-333 Operation Desert Storm

- F/A-18A VMFA-451 Operation Desert Storm

- F/A-18C VMFA-251 Operation Inherent Resolve

- F/A-18C VMFA-122 Operation Iraqi Freedom

- F/A-18C VMFA-232 Operation Inherent Resolve

 

FL32004 'Death Dealing Deltas' USMC F/A-18D's at War **

- F/A-18D VMFA(AW)-224 Operation Iraqi Freedom

- F/A-18D ATARS VMFA-232 Operation Enduring Freedom

- F/A-18D VMFA(AW)-533 Operation Deliberate Guard

- F/A-18D VMFA(AW)-533 Operation Iraqi Freedom

- F/A-18D VMFA(AW)-225 Operation Iraqi Freedom

 

FL32005 Ordnance Stencil Data Sheet

- Still deciding on what to cover on the first sheet

 

FL32006 'Jumpin Jarheads' AV-8B II Plus Part I

- VMA-231 Operation Inherent Resolve x 2 options

- VMA-542 Operation Iraqi Freedom x 3 options

- VMA-214 Operation Iraqi Freedom

 

FL32007 AV-8B NA/II Plus Full Stencil Data

- Complete stencil data for 2 aircraft, one 3 tone scheme, one 2 tone scheme

 

FL32008 'Marine Corps Crusaders' F-8C/E (use of Fisher Models conversion required for some options)

- Final squadrons to be determined

 

FL32009 F-8C/D/K/E Full Stencil Data

- Complete stencils for a single Crusader (there are a lot of them)!

 

FL32010 'Semper Skyraiders' Marine Corps AD-4/6 and AD-5 (use of Fisher Models conversion required for some options)

- Final squadrons to be determined, but these are on the table

- VMA-332

- VMC-2

- VMCJ-3

- VMA-251

 

** The VMFA(AW)-332 Lo-Vis option was dropped and replaced with an option for an ATARS fitted F/A-18D that was assigned to VMFA-232 for their 2010 deployment in support of OEF.

 

 

The artwork for sheets 32004 and 32005 are done. An announcement will also be made when each sheet is actually emailed to Microscale for printing.

So glad to see you hitting the Marine Corps subjects hard Dave! For some reason I thought you were throwing in the towel, and boy I am glad you are not. Got any pics of that 232 bird? Also there is a 323 bird I have seen in this video at about 1:19 that is about the sweetest Low viz Charlie Hornet paint job I have ever seen. Have you seen any more of her. I can't find stills anywhere. It says 2017

I was at MCAS Miramar in January of this year took walk around photos of that 323 jet. I also took all of the walk arounds of 232 jets with mission markings from OIR.

Sweet, would love to see that on Hornet Swarm II! In the meanwhile can't wait for what you have announced!

Great news about so many new Marines options!!! And thanks for doing seperate stencil sheets, Dave :-)

 

About this option:

I can´t remember if there is an ATARS resin conversion out there? Are you planning one?
