Buttoned up the cockpit, didn't show picks of it finished, you can't see much anyway.  A bit of filling and sanding ahead, nothing serious...  I did accentuate the rolled metal forward edge of upper and lower wings, detail was a bit soft, but we do like everything .

Wings are primed and ready for coats of yellow..slow and steady wins it.

Back to the Seahawk....ran into a bit of work....The forward engine cage had a smaller diameter than the Fus. attachment points..what to do.

Shimmed the cage with 1 mm strips then attached it at 3 points(CA)..now there was still a bit of a step so we filled the the upper surfaces then sanded everything back smooth.

Made some half cuts with the razor saw, cleaned everything up a bit then primed.

Now we still have to clean up a little more and finish the cuts through.. but after it's painted gloss red it and the engine slid into position everything should line up nicely...

So.....if you have this kit there's your answer and you are forewarned.  lol.

Shimmed and filled.

Sanded and primed..with still a bit of clean up to do..

Just clipping along now...Not a lot wrong with this kit, could have been a little better quality control as far as the inter-plane struts were concerned, lot of filling, and sanding to get them looking the part.As in most kits.

Other than that it really is a nice piece of resin. have looked at a lot of F7C-1 photos ..didn't know much about this aircraft before at all.but that's what made it interesting.

  Cheers.Bill.
