You do have to wonder if the S&M models name was a cool idea to get web hits, or an unfortunate mistake...

I was thinking the same thing, hopefully the kit goes together well for those that buy it or the name might actually ring true. Though I suppose rather than regular clamps you could use the Nipple variety to hold stuff together whilst gluing.

I feel that S&M is a perfect way to describe models of war machines.

War machines, combats and wars do not refer to peace and light, happiness and joy, love and affection.

On the contrary, they refer to the worst in human nature.

We revel in making models of things that are intended to create death and destruction, pain and misery.

No sense in denying this part of human nature.

This destructive streak in our nature is there. So why apologize when pointing it out?

Perhaps we should have a model company named Death and Destruction?  That would be closer to the concept of "truth in advertising".

:punk:

P.S. Please do not berate me for bringing up a forbidden topic - after all, you guys started it.

In the future perhaps we should focus on the model kit itself and ignore any negative references.

i know it may be hypocritical, but that is the same reason why i'll build aircraft  models WITHOUT any armament showing, safe the inevitable gun opening in nose or wing or whereever, just the possible addition of fuel tanks and such, in order to have a representation of the aircraft itself, in which i'm interested, as an aviation object, as a design......welll, just my two pennies.....
