Guest Clunkmeister
It sure looks like a turkey, do maybe it's a late Thanksgiving gift for us Yanks?
AdamR
Wow, this is an exciting release. I just finished reading a novel that was written in the 1920s about British fighter pilots fighting late in WWI. Dolphins played a small role in it. The book is Winged Victory, by V. M. Yeates. I liked it a lot, though it has a rather odd title for a bitter, cynical anti-war novel. It was probably named by the publisher to boost sales. Makes me want to build a Dolphin.😄
R Palimaka
Whhaaat?!! Now that is an amazing surprise!! This is a kit I've been wanting for a long while, didn't think I'd actually see one. I'll be interested to see what markings will be available. Woot!! Woot!! Richard

seiran01
I always wondered what could have been with this one - if it had a reliable engine, or if they stuck the Wolsey Viper in like the later SE5s.
LSP_K2
More information on the kit here: http://www.wingnutwings.com/ww/product?productid=3175 Iain Box art reminds me (in some ways), of the Datafile on the aircraft, at least as far as the Dr.I is concerned. This is also one more time where a Dr.I has shown up on WNW box art, for whatever that's worth.
Gigant
Well, if it is any indication, Sprue Bros. has yet to sell out of their Copper State Models Sopwith Dolphins. When I was building Guillows kits, I did a Dolphin, and still it was an oddity in my collection.
MikeC
Not one I expected, but good news and very welcome.
ringleheim
Happy they delivered with a surprise new kit at Christmas again. But I find this plane a bit of a letdown, which is OK. I have acquired a small stash of WNW planes and have plenty to keep me busy. I would love for them to make something which is not German or British. Still a welcome addition however. I welcome any new WNW release!
vince14
The Dolphin has been on my 'want' list for quite a while, so I'm more than happy! MikeC

Bobs Buckles
The Fok.DR.1 features on the box art. I'm hoping this is a SIGN!!!!! Von B Kagemusha and LSP_K2
ziggyfoos
Other than the old Windsock Datafile and Osprey Dolphin/Snipe Aces (and mention in Squadron's Sopwith in action book I think) there really isn't much out there unfortunately specifically for the Dolphin but there is a very good Cross and Cockade's book on it for those that are looking for more references: https://www.crossandcockade.com/store/Product.asp?cat=51&id=304 Such an odd unique looking aircraft, one of my favorite UK WW1 types. Now with WNW covering that, they can move on to Nieuports and Hanriots! Edited December 4, 2017 by ziggyfoos LSP_K2
Dave Williams
Unfortunately they had the DR.1 on the box art for the SE.5a, which was one of their first releases, and so far no joy. Still, never say never.
