I'm a huge fan of the the Merkava 4M (that's the one with Trophy APS).

 

(Side note: I had the opportunity to work with some of the designers of the Merkava family (3 & 4). Asked them whether the designation was in Roman numerals or not - the unanimous response: "not.")

The way one guy clarified it (as a former Magach crewmen, was responsible for slip-ring/RBJ integration in the Merk 4) was that the numbering convention was as per the Magach. It's a Magach 3, 5, 6, 7 etc. not III, V, VI, VII. Also, Roman numerals are easy to mess up when moving between Hebrew (written right to left) and English (left to right, of course).

Not a Merkava, which I love, but I just saw Trumpeter is coming out with 1/16 T-72 Russian Tank. That will be cool.
