Chris/Germany
Hy guys, have got an old ID- Vac from a clubcomrade he never will build, It´s an ARADO 234 and I decided to take this kit as my first experience with Vacs - although I build this kit not really as a Vac ´cause I made some molds of Silicone and do the parts itself with epoxy and glassfibe ( same material as when you repair your car), a little bit of testing for the right mixture and technique but first results look good. Here the same problem as by the Seafire: because I´m an absolute technic-freak I always have some working parts on my models, for example prop and position lights but what to do with a jet engine like the JUMO 004 the ARADO was fitted with? hm.........how abaout.....a cutaway of the JUMO itself where the turning compressor wheels can be seen? Same as by the SEAFIRE´s double prop.......two nights of thinking about the problem and a few hours to do some trying ..... here´s a shot of the handmade parts like the compressor wheels ( from aluminium, what else ) and the motor that fits perfectly into a engine of an old REVELL Me

Chris/Germany
Hy Larry, works out right so far, have to do a few more trys with the glassfibre and the epoxy to find the right mixture to get a good thickness of the parts, also tryin´ with some additives to make the epoxy more like plastic , just for better handling ....... Chris/Germany
Its engine time again!....progress on the stangs works good so far, BBD is in the spray booth so I decided to use the time to give the JUMO004 some detailing and try to finish it for a small "engine" display at the expo in 4 weeks, here are the work of a sundays afternoon, not really finished, more detailing when mounted in its frame.. right side... Gene
That's great! If you experience compressor stall, it will be easy to fine tune the turbine pitch! Yes, you are crazy and insane -- be careful when you make the video that you don't strobe the turbine to a standstill--
bcauchi
Your innovation knows no limits man. You are one hell of a great ripper and I am not joking here. Question is what will he rip up next?!!? Nothing is safe from his saw and blade.
AngoMango
...as long as his next ripping job does not involve a real feathered bird....that could get a bit ugly No seriously, Chris, you just set the benchmark for cutting edge (excuse the pun) modelling, higher and higher, and for that I thank you, because it inspires me to improve. Your mind is a veritable ideas factory. Top work mate, Ango.
