Avro 504, Jet Provost 3/4 & 5, Fouga and Miles Magisters, and an Alpha Jet.  Oh, an Avro Tutor and a mainstream Stearman would be good as well. :please:

Edit - how about a Chipmunk, Bulldog and Vampire T11 too?  Sadly, a Balliol would probably be a tad too esoteric to stand any chance of production.

Don't want much, do I? :piliot:

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the T-37 Tweetybird yet.  This is also an overlooked little trainer guy.

My old man flew T-34A's with the USAF in Biloxi, MS in the late 1959 and/or 1960.  He was the engineering type and washed out of pilot training; vertigo is a *****.  He went on to work on some very interesting stuff (according to him) but highly classified so I won't ever know what it was.

Another one of the umpteenth threads about what we need or want. Can we just have one thread about this?

I think the thread title "Ok, now we need...", without mentioning any kind of aircraft type, should have been sufficient warning that this would turn into a wish list (but this time, interestingly, on training aircraft).

My pet hate are single threads that go on forever. They are usually completely unnavigable and mostly quickly obsolesce. What we're in the mood for *now* changes with time. And it's fun dreaming.

Agreed, but my pet hates are the: I need, I want, we need, we want....etc. etc. threads.

What any fourmite wants is not what I need and what I want etc.etc.

All in jest mind you. :wicked:
