Morning all!! I'm going to enter the Revell F-15E built as a JASDF Aggressor. Kit was molded originally in 1982, this appears to be an original issue.

Will add some aftermarket, Two Bobs decals, AMS ECM pod,  and True Details seats.

Will also be adding drop tanks and exhaust cans from an ill fated Tamiya build.

Wow..I'm starting to love this GB...another one to follow with interest!

That`s exactly what i was about to type...

I got that feeling like this will be something like a completely new forum to follow. Get back to the Jura... LD

Interesting start! At least the feathers of the nozzles are not too long. Happy modeling! I`m following this spectacular model of course.

PS: this boxart is awesome!

I have a feeling this is going to be a great GB!! So much variety in builds!! I did a JASDF Aggressor using the Tamiya kit a while ago, really like the variety of schemes available.

I'm planning on doing this one, must be a recent scheme, never seen it before.

The nose gear does look spindly and IIRC was a common complaint when this kit first came out. Will look into a replacement set.

Have a little free time tonight, dryfitted some parts. If anyone has built the tamiya F-15C/E/J you know all about the fit of the main fuselage upper and lower parts, they need a fair amount of work, likewise the wing to fuselage joint, very "fun" to fit, something kinda unexpected for a Tamiya kit. I have to say, the fit of these parts for the Revell kit is much better than the tamiya kits. Little scraping and sanding and i should end up with a fill free fit. I get the feeling this may be a quick build with good fit, the paint might take longer than the actual assembly.

That's a cool looking scheme, really like the blue; although, it's going to be a bear of a masking effort!

Doing a JASDF Aggressor is on my "To Do" list.

The panel lines are a "little" overly deep and wide, were probably fine back in the day. Before assembling anything i'm sanding all wing, tail and fuselage parts. These parts are also not smooth with raised ridges around the lines. After sanding down the parts the lines are a lot more subdued. They do suffer from different depths as well, can either sand more or rescribe to even thing out. Also glued the left wing top to the fuselage top, the fit was great!! Compared with the Tamiya kit, the revell  kit needed simple basic clean-up and gluing with no fill. The Tamiya kit had to be scraped/sanded a LOT to get a good fit.
