kalashnikov-47
I just picked up a Revell N1K1 mid-wing George for a really good price on ebay. Now, the hard part: Just to find one of those old Rex conversion kits..... Out2gtcha
Out2gtcha
Now, the hard part: Just to find one of those old Rex conversion kits..... They are hard to find. I traded a crap ton of stuff for mind including an OOP Mirage PE engine. Even after all that it's still not super accurate. The cowl is pretty off, and the leading edge of it doesn't convey the knife edge as fhe real one does. kalashnikov-47 and Rick Griewski
Bill_S
Congrats, Bruce! Keep in mind that there are major cockpit differences between the N1K1 and N1K2. I look forward to watching this one!
Bruce_Crosby
Hi Guys, Plenty of references on the K2 but I don't seem to have many on the K1. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Regards, Bruce Crosby Bill_S

Bruce_Crosby
Hi Guys, C-46? A big Curtiss Commando? I'd love one myself. It's the freighter that did the bulk of the airlifting in WWII although everyone seems to think it was the C-47 that did it. C-46 could fly higher with a much larger load. Great idea but not from this Anglo-Saxon! Bill, got the link thank you. There's some nice stuff there. Regards, Bruce Crosby
