Dragon JSU-152

While rummaging around here, looking for an armor kit to play with, I discovered that I have not one, but two Dragon kits of this vehicle, so I've opted to try to finish one of the two by this September. Perhaps not Tamiya quality, but very good kits nonetheless, plus I actually have them in my possession right now, and that's a very good thing.

Just check it the tracks will fit under the fenders. The DML IS kits are known to have a too shallow lower hull. Just to avoid trouble after mating upper and lower hull.

Good advice, and I'll be checking that tonight. Thanks.

Well, the warning regarding the track clearance, was all too true. Clearance is minimal, so it looks like track will be attached to lower hull, before assembling upper hull to it. Good catch there, and potentially saves me some serious grief "down the road". Here I've used a more or less straight run of track (no sag) to check clearances. With sag between return rollers, I think it'll probably look OK.

They look half finished already Kevin!

Should be no problem hitting a September deadline, provided you can stay away from all those great books you've recently ordered.

One of the two is about 95% finished, yes. I just need to clean it up a tad, then I'm ready for paint (and assembling a gazillion track links). I'm seriously considering some Friul tracks for it, if for no other reason than avoiding the two prominent ejector pin marks per track link, as having those visible, is an absolute contest no-no.

And yes, the recent book purchases are very cool, and so far are proving to be very interesting indeed.
