Okay, sports fans,

It is done and dusted. She wasn't OOB.

The booms aft of the wing, minus the fin and fillet, are pretty much as-is. The rest involved either micro-surgery or chisel-and-double-cut file.

For the masochists among us, here's the horror:

Great build Rossky.

Just got the dinky 1/72 Airfix T.11 through the post today. For reasons unknown (perhaps the twin seat DeHavillands' cockpits are mildly reminiscent of the Mosquito) I absolutely love the look of the twin seat Vampire, Venom and Sea Venom but find the single seaters butt ugly.

Wonder if we'll ever see a T.11 from Fly or Special Hobby (?¿)

Nice model.

While I'm the opposite to Tony and would appreciate a n accurate fighter type, I've been intrigued by the two seater since seeing the

half-rotted fuselage pod of one at Elvington many years ago. The cockpit had been gutted and there was no way to ID the airframe

and so no idea what became of it.

You're not far off, Tony.

dH  used the Mosquito nose for the basis of the T.11.

The irony is, I like the compact shape of the FB.5/9. It's a shame the cockpit detail is lost under the canopy, at 1/48th scale.

But I did enjoy working on this kit, to discover the minutiae of the trainer.
