I am fortunate to have a small supply of the Sheffield Luxor Pale Gold dry pigment which was used on the original Golden Hawk aircraft. I've mixed a tiny bit of pigment with Testors Clear Gloss Coat and sprayed on over a light grey primer.

will those sets be available in england? and bugger it iv'e just got one (of my two) started---still the nose could probably come off--and the canopy would be nice--and everything for the second one!!!!!!! i still think it's a lovely kit though.

That pit looks superb. Do you have any construction shots, and are the parts all kit, or aftermarket stuff (sorry if I missed this mentioned anywhere else)
