You know, I might just have a set of those decals! Would have to dive into the stash to check. I have no plans on doing a Golden Hawk, are you interested, Bill?

Thanks for the generous offer Ray, but please save them..I had built a Golden Hawk ,well many moons back,1/32 Has...that Shefield gold is a bit tricky to duplicate but I'll show you what I'm thinking for the Kinetic. (pic) 23067 Mk5 around 58-59...Oh,Don't forget the Fantastic Canadair Sabre decals from Bill Burns at Canmilair..wonderful markings.
Now if you had a 1/32 ground power unit to go with it I'd be on your doorstep...may scratch one.if the right wheels can be dug up.

I am fortunate to have a small supply of the Sheffield Luxor Pale Gold dry pigment which was used on the original Golden Hawk aircraft. I've mixed a tiny bit of pigment with Testors Clear Gloss Coat and sprayed on over a light grey primer.

Now if anyone wants an authentic colour chip, just send me an email at barneydhc82athotmail.com.

Email me direct rotary..williamj109@yahoo.ca cheers.

An update....yes I,m slow.

everything is temporarily in place....new nose and gun ports look somewhat different...reworked cockpit using Harold Offields's Pit..Harold has the new nose and ports for 6.00 plus shipping(And he did a great job with them) contact him at AMS..scratch built the panel using Eduard bezels and Mike Grant instruments..reworked the gun sight.
Tried a few approaches to the canopy interior strips, started outt with thin grey decal strip, then silver decal strip, finally went with very thin clear stretched sprue(13 seperate pieces)tacked in place with small drops of Future then dipped again. blew out the air brake bays and rebuilt them (at the propper angle) the air brakes themselves are rebuilt as well..they will recieve new arms.
A lot do do yet..fine tuning panel lines and crooked rivet lines ,whell wells are started...etc. can't wait to paint. try to post soon.cheers.

Big thanks Kevin...I'm really not a jet guy either, but was looking for a challenge and Kinetic handed me one..this kit will need a large bit o teasing but hoping it will look more like a proper Sabre in the end..(fingers crossed).

That looks great!! and the stretch clear sprue for the canopy looks fantastic. I'll have to remember that trick.

Cheers

That pit looks superb. Do you have any construction shots, and are the parts all kit, or aftermarket stuff (sorry if I missed this mentioned anywhere else)

Cheers,
Jim
