Had a look at samples of what will be in the box at last weekends' Avon model show - it's an exceptionally complete, high quality, package that will be well worth the wait IMHO!

Second newsletter update due this weekend - you haven't missed anything!

In the meantime check out the Balilla build tips page on the website www.aviattic.co.uk to wet your appetite!

best wishes, Richard

OOPS, I preordered a while ago and am waiting for confirmation but I just realized that when I changed my email address I did not let aviatic know.

Drat !!!

See, that is an acceptable cuss word.

I must contact them now. :frantic:

OK. I bit the bullet and I bought one. I got the Italian one.

Yes it cost lots of money. That hurts.

But all those coins that I have been putting into the piggy bank at the end of each day helped. Almost 50% of the cost was covered by the change.

Yes, I was saving up to pay for the next WNW release, but it will be their Camel. Since I already have a half dozen of the way less expensive Camel kits by other manufacturers I can pass on WNW's dromedary. Thus I can apply the money towards the Ansaldo, which I just did.

Sorry WNW, I love your work but I buy models of different aircraft, not other versions of aircraft already kitted and on the market. Now, about a 1/32 star strutted Austrian Hansa-Brandenburg D.I (Type KD) aircraft model and a Lohner B.VII kit....Hmmmmmmm?

Oh, by the way, when I ordered and paid for my kit the other day I was informed that they expect to be shipping in October. I wrote back whenever they ship it to me, later this year or early next year, is fine with me.

The idea is that the more time they take on developing this kit the better it will be. So I allow them all the time it takes.

I see no reason to push them. After all, most of us have many months, if not years, worth of kits in our stashes with which we can occupy our time while waiting for this one.

My Father told me two things would happen as I got older.
I can't remember either of them....
