Wings Model Show, October 21/22 2017 (Melbourne, Australia)

Just putting up the details for Wings this year. Everything is contained below, incentives are available to any model club who wishes to turn up in force over the weekend. Australia National Aviation Museum is located on Second Avenue, Moorabbin Airport, Melbourne.

A bit of an update;

 

Firstly a thank you to our sponsors; Rob at Scale Magic for his support of 'Best Display', to be awarded based on the popular vote of all visitors and to Modelart Australia, who are again supporting junior modelers with a 1 year subscription to Modelart for the 1st place winner in the Juniors category.

 

The museum has also been donated at least 2 substantial collections of aviation books from deceased estates. There's well over 500 books that need to go to make room for other archived material. We might just have that elusive title you've been looking for.

A small update, with more sponsors;

 

Thanks to the Moorabbin Airport Corporation for their continued support of not only Wings and the museum. The MAC have kindy sponsored our trophies.

 

Thanks also to Creative Models Australia who are sponsoring the show with a few goodies to raffle off and use as prizes.

 

I also have a few tables still available for trade over the weekend. If you're a swap and seller or business and you're interested in trading over the weekend, please ring me (Brad) on 9467 4672. Tables are FOC, but donations to the museum are gratefully accepted and tax deductible over $2.

Some prizes and raffle items, thanks to Creative Models Australia. The models will be in the raffle (drawn at 4pm Sunday) and the 1 year free subscriptions to; Military Scale Modeller, Scale Aviation Modeller International and Model Aircraft International will be prizes on the day for some lucky place winners.

One week out. We currently have 9 sellers attending Saturday and 10 on Sunday. A big thank you goes out to Metro Hobbies for their support of wings with a fabulous prize for the raffle; HongKong Models 1/32 Mossie.

 

I also picked up our trophies today. We've gone with green this year and of course, we will give one lucky modeller the big bird; Best of Show. This trophy is voted on by all entrants in a 3-2-1 points count.

Yes I'll enter, I've also got a little display of Axis aircraft in use post war. I will take pictures of course.
