Sparzanza
Well, here's a smile from both me and the Stuka. Unfortunately all the pictures I took this morning (21 of them) of my freshly washed Stuka.. went to ****. Daylight gave every single image some dodgy looking glow! GAH! I'll take some pictures with regular lamps as source instead when I drowned some of my frustrations in my morning coffee. Meh. Sparzanza
Here we go. One 100% brushpainted 1/24 scale Airfix Stuka. My first kit completed after a 4 year break, and my first 1/24 scale Stuka. My previously biggest Stuka was Airfix 1/48 in my teens. But in the past I've built Airfix 1/24 Mustang, Hurricane, Messerschmitt, and a Spitfire (R.I.P.) so I wasn't a complete stranger to larger kits. It was a joy to build, most of the things fit great (bar the tailplanes...) and when I get to the point where I'll build another 1/24 Stuka, I'll know exactly what to look out for.. it did have some traps. If anyone plans on building one of these babies in the future, give me a poke. I'll tell you all about it. The kit was ordered the 19th of March, arrived at my home the 25th of March, and was completed today, the 17th of May 2013. 53 days? Never spent that much time on a kit before. Couldn't have made it without the help of some individuals, namely: Boris (BGB), for helping me with the canopy and spinner when I accidentally messed them up - along with general tips & tricks regarding just about everything there is to know about model kits. Steve (jacksdad64) for donating the J9+BL markings. Christian (reconspit) for donating the swastikas. And of course to all you other LSP:ers for having a look and cheering me on as the build progressed! My next build will be.. well you'll see won't you? Meanwhile, here's the result:

Out2gtcha
Looks great! I like the scheme a lot. Strange getting a feel for how big things like swastikas are................a lot, if not most manufacturers aren't even willing to include them in kits, or even show them on box top art no matter how relevant and historically accurate they were. Sparzanza
I did ask for 1/24 swastikas a while back. That's what I recieved. I'm aware that they're a bit small on the Stuka, but it's better than nothing at all. Thanks for your comments!
