dennismcc
I have fond memories of that kit, built two of them in my time and have another one in the loft with a Paragon bubble top conversion, the only really bad part that I struggled with was getting a good fit with the canopy and fuselage. Shawn M
I love this kit Even as a kid, I thought that Tiffie pilot was a crack shot. he holed that boiler from all sides! Top, both sides, and shot up at an angle, too! He's my hero. AND, he didn't hurt the locomotive crew whatsoever... great shooting, sir. so funny you mentioned this as I was noticing his exquisite marksmanship too

I've seen multiple videos of Mustangs and Thunderbolts cracking steam locomotives, and that's just using .50's. I can't begin to imagine the damage four 20mm cannons could do. To the best of my knowledge, Revell never released a bubble top version of the Typhoon. I don't have the kit anymore or I'd check it out; perhaps they intended to release one at some point in the future, but that would have been very unusual indeed, as Revell standard practice at the time, was one aircraft, one mold. Also, should you need or just want additional references, I can probably help in that department, as I have quite a lot of Typhoon stuff. Shawn M
Thanks Kev! I think im actually good on ref's for this one as I dont intend to go full gonzo on it....yet. Im puzzled to on the mould seam, but the red line I drew on it is exactly what would need to change out for a bubble top. Who know, but that seam MUST go. I did a test fit on the engine panel and it fits surprisingly well given all the others I've done on old revell kits. LSP_K2
