1to1scale
HELP! I need help finding decals for 1/32 HObbycraft Spad XIII I bought last week, I got it cheap for $7.00, but it was missing instruction and decals. So I have been searching for a week now, and I can't find a source for replacement decals. I have other kits with French roundels, but I prefer (USAS) American. I have been able to find American insignia, but it's the artwork that I can't find. I prefer if I can find Rickenbacher's aircraft, but I can only find 1/28 decals from Copper State Models. Is a 12% difference in scales noticeable? Edited October 15, 2017 by 1to1scale

Rob Owens
Yeah, That 12% difference would not just be noticeable, it would be impossible! I have Rick's markings from HC1687 I can send you, along with hard copy of the kit instructions, if you need 'em. Just let me know your mailing address. Regards, Rob Uncarina
1to1scale
Thanks Rob, PM sent. I honestly never expected to find original decals for such an old kit.
Rob Owens
It's an old kit, granted, but a REALLY good one, on par with Hobby Craft's 1/32 Camel "Le Rhone" and "Clerget" releases. Hobby Wholesale in Edmonton, Alberta (who bought out Hobby Craft's stock when they folded) still shows both Spad XIII releases in stock at a reasonable price. If I could find one for the $7 you paid, I'd be in Hog Heaven. Uncarina
1to1scale
I also got the Special Hobby Nieuport 11 and 16 for $25 each. I was supposed to pay $15 for the Spad, but he told me that it was missing decals and instructions. I figured, how hard could it be to find aftermarket decals? I guess I need to research before impulse buys. I probably would have ordered one from them if you had not had them. LSP_K2
Superscale also did two different sheets for the Nieuport 28, and while certainly not specific to your immediate needs, may still prove useful.

vince14
I think you might be about two and a half years late with the offer... LSP_K2 and CANicoll
