Unfortunatelly not much progress. I started to think about the trolley. From the few pictures I'm aware of that show the trolley, it seems that the construction is simmilar to the one of the Cant Z.506 shown in a musseum here:

The steel bars will be made of evergreen profiles. I'm still not sure about the wheels of the trolley. From the phtotos I found of the Cant Z.506 in the museeum, it seems that the wheels were mounted on some kind of ring. I think I'll do it like in this stunning 1/72 model of the Z.506

That's where I am at the moment:

I really should stay on track with the RS.14 (not mentioning the Hampden  ), but currently I'm a bit distracted with other 3d-projects that could turn into lsp-models. It's an Addiction :)

Cheers

Hi Rick, I had to google the word jonesin, but now I understand your pain :)

Not much progress on the Fiat, unfortunately. Recently, I've been playing around with another little project, which might fit a forthcoming Iron Rain group build. Of course, starting something new while having several unfinished models on the workbench makes totally sense

Now, I have one week vacation, so hopefully I find more time to cut some styrene.

Cheers

Thanks Iain!

Alex congrats for your awesome and amazing wip!
Probably somebody has already suggested manuals or pictures about it if not, please go to the CMPR italian modelers website where you can find the RS and CRDA Cant manuals.

http://www.cmpr.it/manuali.htm

Yeah, that's a great site. Another good source is this:

http://www.avia-it.com/act/profili_daerei/libretti_velivolo/avianew_profili_aerei_libretti_miana_velivoli.asp

For this project, I bought a scan of the complete manual somewhere on Ebay. The file-package also contained some extremly high resolution scans of period plans which are very helpfull.

I just whished I could find some period documents of the also beautiful Fiat CR.25

Cheers

Alex

At least a little progress. I made the seat for the observer in the glass-nose. It's a bit speculative, since it is just based on a few period plans. It seems that the real thing was foldable. But I couldn't find one single photo clearly showing this seat on the real thing.
