This is the new Yak 28 from Bobcat models, Nice kit only a few issues going together nicely.

Nice!  If it's not too late, I'd ditch the red intake bullet tip.  Bobcat tells you to do that, but I've only seen one museum bird thus painted.  No evidence of it on any in-service Yak-28P (not a PP by the way, that's a different animal!).

 

Really looking forward to getting cracking on mine!

One of those designs that shouts 'Cold War Soviet' - would luuuurve on in 1:32 - maybe one day  :)

Good point J., the confusion probably raised by usage of the red engine plugs. They partial cover the edge  of the nacelle that was slightly darker(stainless) the  the rest of the aluminium surface. See picture below.

I think they're doing the Tupolev DB-3 first, then the Il-28, then the Brewer.  At least that's what I've heard second hand from a source who is in direct contact with them.

P as an interceptors of that era were NMF, PP occasionally camouflaged. Despite the title of this topic,

he is building P version.

In the books I have they show all the interceptors as bare metal the only camo version I've found of a 28 is the rec and strike versions.
