Just found out, incidental to a physician-induced episode that nearly killed her, that my 84-year old mother has colon cancer.  Surgery on Monday, and her birthday is Christmas Eve.  Heading from Tucson to Michigan to be with her and my dad through this.

Be thankful, and hold your family close.

Sorry to hear that Jennings. Hopefully they can get it all without too much trouble.  My brother in law had it also and now has a bag,  that's a life changer but workable.  Hopefully they found it soon enough

Keep us posted and safe travels

Ron

Indeed. A chap I worked with for a few years is having to say his final goodbye to his wife today after she had a double brain haemorage on Thursday, no hope of recovery so they're having to turn life support off - she was only 52. Horrible to think that instead of planning for a family Christmas, he and his three kids are now having to plan her funeral.
