Very, very nice finish there Shaka.

It's that extra challenge of pushing our skills beyond our usual comfort zone that made it extra rewarding, as I found out rigging my Snipe.

Clean, glossy finished are definitely tough. Thankfully it wasn't gloss black which is the worst for getting a flawless finish.

Thanks Carl...I actually bid on another one. This one I'll take my time and use up the decals for the scheme that was the most colorful of the bunch. With added detail, corrections and scribing/re-riveting as well!

If you have an iPhone, I can warmly recommend the imodelkit app. It has color palette feature that allows you to mix paints (virtually of course) to match a color sample. The sample can come from a file, a pic, etc...

I used it to get the chrome yellow on my Ryan PT-20 (but did not save the formula, alas :( )

Hubert,

Just my luck I have an Android phone and the playstore doesn't have that app.

Shaka Hi,

Just found your build, and as I thought, you're doing your usual outstanding build.

I have an very old Pea Shooter kit in my stash, and after following  your build, it most likely will get to my workbench this year.
