Eric,  Wow, your attention to detail is inspiring. You have done an amazingly beautiful job on a piece of significant Aviation history.  But I still think it is one of the uglier planes ever built. I can not imagine how he could of felt being cooped up inside it.   You have me looking into that stencil process, very cool, tks for all the info.... Dale

 

Thanks for the comments Dale. I do agree with you about the ugly bit, although after spending many hours looking at photos and the model I became quite fond of its lines and the attention that was paid by Lindbergh and the Ryan company on streamlining every last mm of the airframe. Hopefully I will be able to demonstrate the beauty of the aeroplane when I do my studio photos.
